CODE OF CONDUCT
Code of Conduct
These guidelines have been established by the MOMS Club of Portage, MI to allow our members to interact and to have our children play and grow in a healthy and safe environment. These guidelines are in addition to and in no way violate the International MOMS Club Bylaws. Most of these guidelines are common sense; however, to bypass any confusion, they have been put in writing. If you have any questions about these guidelines, please contact a member of the Executive Board.
RSVP Policy
It is a policy that each member sign-up and RSVP for activities that she would like to attend when it is indicated on the calendar and/or weekly reminder email. Each member is to reply to the weekly reminder email stating what, if any, activities they will be attending that week. It is also a policy that each member call or email if she is unable to attend a scheduled activity. This allows the signup person to inform other members if, 1) they are the only ones who signed up for the activity, or 2) an activity needs to be cancelled due to lack of participation. If you are late to a function the group cannot wait so please ensure your timeliness.
Illness Policy
If your child has any signs of a sickness that can be passed on to other children, please keep them at home. You may miss an activity due to a child being sick or yourself being sick, but there will always be another activity. For the safety and health of fellow members, please stay home until everyone is feeling better. If you do attend an activity and anyone is uncomfortable with you or your child's symptoms, you will be asked to leave.
If you or your children have any of the following symptoms, please refrain from attending any MOMS Club function:
If you are hosting an activity and have to cancel due to illness, please make an attempt to see if one of the other attendees would like to host it. You may ask another mom who had planned on coming to help make phone calls to reschedule or cancel.
If you have attended an activity and go home to find your child has a contagious illness, please notify the other attendees so they can be on the lookout.
